"The off-season of foreign trade" is coming!

Foreign trade is very light every year in 6, 7 and August, because many European customers take a vacation in summer. For many Europeans, summer vacation is a good time in a year. Choosing a holiday place and comforting them for a while is an important part of their lives.

A questionnaire survey on "foreign trade off-season" found that more than 80% of foreign trade enterprises responded to the "very cold" business in the summer, and the volume of orders dropped to varying degrees.

57% of respondents said that orders were reduced by more than 20% from spring to summer, and a large number of merchants reported that the reduction was over 30%.

Another 28% of respondents said that orders fell by less than 20%, which is the normal fluctuation range of the off-season.

In addition, less than 15% of businesses said that orders were not affected by off-season.

Foreign trade off-season is a relative concept, mainly for foreign trade enterprises dominated by the European market, and for the enterprises in the Americas, Africa and Asian countries as the main market, 7 and August are the normal selling season, because the companies in these countries are operating regularly in 7 and 8 months.

For example, the Belgian customers told us in advance that from July 14th to August 3rd, they would not wait until they came back from work.

"Generally speaking, European customers will make good orders before going on vacation, and then go on holiday.

The biggest fear is that this order will encounter problems in production because there will be no customer consultation at that time.

As for foreign trade salesmen how to deal with the problem of off-season, here are some suggestions:

First, before the European guests take a vacation, confirm the order and shipment details on hand at the same time with the guests.

Otherwise, when the guest is away from home for vacation, he may not answer the phone or reply to the work email. If he can not find someone, he will delay the production and delivery.

Two, if possible, try to ask the guest to leave a contact mode that can be found at any time, because there is always such an accident in the process of goods production and order fulfillment, and sometimes it has to be confirmed personally with the customer.

Three, if the guest has not placed the order, he should be persuaded to place the order before the holiday. In this case, after he has finished his vacation, the production will come to an end or finish.

Four, try to confirm with your guest how long the vacation is, so as to arrange the work accordingly.

Five, maintain regular customers.

In the off-season, you can realize the value of old customers, especially those with rich varieties of customers.

Six, develop more markets other than Europe.
