Due to the sharp decline of raw materials, the textile industry in Taiwan has cut down production frequently. According to ITIS estimates by the Taiwan Textile Institute, the textile output value in the third quarter of this year was 107 billion 840 million yuan, a decrease of 14.76% over the same period last year, of which the largest decline in output value of garments and clothing accessories was nearly 3.

International chemical fiber raw materials fell sharply in the third quarter, causing the Taiwan internalized fiber factory to be forced to carry out "annual rest" and "reduction of production". It is understood that most of the polyester plants still reduce production by about 4.

Operators say that raw materials are bearish and more likely to be lost. They should be cut down, and orders with good prices will start again, resulting in a direct drop in output value.

ITIS, the Taiwan Textile Institute, estimated that the output value of the man-made fiber industry in the third quarter was 31 billion 630 million yuan, a decline of 8.73% compared with the same period last year; the output value of textile industry was 68 billion 590 million yuan, a decrease of 11.22%; the output value of garments and clothing products was 7 billion 614 million yuan, and the decline rate continued to decline since 2001.
