Online Sales Of British Apparel Increased.

 

In the first 3 months of 2008, online shopping for British consumers reached 13 billion pounds, an increase of 50.5% over last year, according to the IMRG Capgemini retail sales index.

Among them, the most eye-catching products were clothing, footwear and accessories, which increased by 31% over the same period last year.

According to statistics, the average annual online shopping consumption per person in the UK is 213 pounds. During the Easter holidays alone, the total volume of online shopping in the United Kingdom amounted to 850 million pounds. In addition to the increase in online sales of apparel products such as garments, beer, wine and other alcoholic products increased by 28%, and electronic products increased by 6.8%.

Anthoula Madden, vice president of Capgemini consulting, said there is still room for growth in online sales.
