To Maintain The Healthy Development Of Cashmere Industry, China Wool Association Issued A Statement On Cashmere Related Issues
Recently, the cashmere Professional Committee of China Wool Textile Industry Association has received consultations from cashmere enterprises and relevant units on the naming and standards of domestic fine wool. After full communication with the deputy director units of cashmere professional committee, a consensus has been formed and submitted to China Wool Textile Industry Association. China wool association made the following statement on the key issues of cashmere industry:
China wool Association cashmere Professional Committee supports and protects the development of cashmere characteristic industry in China, and also supports the wide application of national wool through technological improvement. However, it is firmly opposed to the similar nomenclature of cashmere and native fine wool, resulting in confusion of consumer concepts and market situation that damages the quality and reputation of cashmere.
Cashmere and sheep wool are clearly defined in the textile industry standards, and the related products have clear and internationally recognized English exclusive terms in international trade. The domestic market supervision department has always carried out supervision and inspection and random inspection and monitoring in strict accordance with the product standards and labeling requirements of the textile industry, and severely cracked down on violations of laws and regulations.
The cashmere Professional Committee of China wool association actively advocates the member enterprises to stick to the right, consciously safeguard the fair and just business environment of the industry, stick to the bottom line of self-discipline, fulfill social responsibility, and jointly contribute to the healthy and sustainable development of cashmere industry in China.
