Recently, Nike announced that it will work with DaiwaHouse, a Japanese retail store developer, to build a logistics distribution center for robots, improve distribution efficiency and jointly build an intelligent logistics distribution center.

DaiwaHouse will provide distribution facilities for Nike's electricity supplier and direct business in the Japanese market, and the robot will complete the picking and handling work. After the completion of the distribution center, the robot will replace 3/4 of the manpower. It is reported that in 2020, Nike electric business will be delivered to Japan on the same day. At present, DaiwaHouse has opened the logistics distribution center in Chiba County near Tokyo. The interior will contain 6000 container shelves, which can hold 1 million goods.

In November 2019, Nike announced that it had stopped the pilot project to sell its goods on Amazon, ending the 2 year pilot retail project. Since then, Nike has vigorously developed a direct channel. In the future, Nike hopes to adopt this intelligent distribution mode in other markets other than Japan.
