Turkey Has New Regulations On Textile Products

New requirements for labels and fibers of textile products in Turkey

Recently, the Turkey customs and Trade Service Department has updated regulations and standards for textile products labeling and fiber composition requirements.

Compared with previous regulations, this update is mainly aimed at the possible inclusion of non products in textile products.

The labeling requirements for leather necks or lace, feather ornaments or bone fittings, etc., in which the new regulation thirteenth provides that any textile product containing animal material must be clearly marked on the product label, such as "containing non-woven animal materials".

The new regulation thirteenth applies to products put on the market after January 1, 2016, others.

The update will take effect after the promulgation of the regulations.

In addition, the new regulation also includes the market control and supervision of products, and is implemented by the government departments according to the market supervision and control regulations issued by the customs and trade service department in the official communiqu on June 12, 2014.

If the supplier's product does not meet the relevant provisions, it will be given a correction date; if the product is still not met after the correction date, the administrative penalty will be imposed.
