Yunnan Has Gradually Become The Hub For The Sale Of Leather Shoes In ASEAN South Asia.

The reporter learned from the Yunnan Footwear Association that the annual sales of leather shoes have reached 20 billion yuan.

Shoes from Wenzhou, Guangzhou and other places are sold to Burma, Nepal, Pakistan and other countries on the basis of snail Bay International Trade City. Yunnan has gradually become a distributing center for leather shoes sales in Southwest China and Southeast Asia.

"At present, there are more than 2000 kinds of shoes sold in the Yunnan market, and only one year sales of leather shoes exceed 20 billion yuan."

Chen Xiaosong, executive chairman of the footwear industry association, told reporters that the leather shoes sold in the Yunnan market are mainly from Fujian, Zhejiang, Guangdong, Chongqing and Sichuan, and the leather shoes produced by Wenzhou occupy almost half of the country's shoes.

However, in the sales of 20 billion yuan, it is hard to find Yunnan brand.

In Chen Xiaosong's view, influenced by factors such as craft, equipment, talents, production technology and so on, it is difficult for Yunnan's brand shoes to survive.

Li Nan, a businessman in Yunnan who has been selling shoes for nearly 10 years, is deeply impressed by the problems in the development of Yunnan shoe industry.

He said that asymmetric information and lack of market cultivation are also bottlenecks restricting the development of Yunnan's footwear industry.

From the perspective of the industry chain, Yunnan does not take all the advantages of the footwear industry, and the market of the domestic footwear industry is not in Yunnan. "Dealers from other provinces will only negotiate business in Guangzhou, Wenzhou and other places. They will not think of purchasing shoes from Yunnan. This is why some Yunnan businessmen even prefer to put their factories in Wenzhou and other places even if they are in the shoe industry."

However, the shoe industry in Yunnan is not without opportunities.

Li Nan pointed out that Yunnan's ethnic culture and tourism market can be grafted to the shoe industry.

The peacock of the Dai nationality, the ox head of the Wa nationality and the embroidery of the Yi people can be applied to the shoe industry. Unfortunately, the most popular cloth shoes in Yunnan tourism market are produced in Chengdu and other places. Yunnan people themselves have not done this market well.
