Indonesian Shoes Exports Increased By 7%, And Tajik Leather Shoes Increased By More Than Half.

As some shoe manufacturers regard Indonesia as a production base, the Ministry of industry is convinced that the export of shoes can increase by more than 7%.


RaymondBangun, director of the integrated manufacturing and textile industry department, confirmed that the shoes made in Indonesia are far better than those in many other countries, especially from ASEAN neighbouring countries.

He said that the international shoe labels now set up in China include Clark, Timberland, Echo and Fortuna.



Previously, Indonesia's strong competitors were its production base in the east coast of China.

However, wage increases in the region have prompted shoe manufacturers to consider moving their factories to Vietnam or Indonesia.

According to Lai Meng, the standard wage in Vietnam is cheaper than that in China.

Nevertheless, the shoe industry in Indonesia still has an advantage in quality.

"To encourage investors to ensure the quality of their shoes, they must be supported by incentives or technology."

Lai Meng added that because the per capita income of our people increased, the demand for domestic shoe products was also large.


According to Tajik energy industry ministry, 1-5 Tajik leather products output value of 9 million 400 thousand Somoni, about 1 million 900 thousand U. S. dollars, an increase of 1.3 times compared to the same period last year.

Nevertheless, the leather shoes produced by the tower can only meet the market demand of 5-10%, and the shoes market of Tajik more than 90% is occupied by foreign enterprises, of which the share of shoes made in China is larger.


According to the statistics of China Customs, 1-5 months ago, China exported 108 million dollars to Tajik export shoes, legs and similar products, an increase of 191.8% over the same period last year, accounting for 18.21% of the total export volume to the tower.
