China: The Wasteland Of Fashion Culture

2011/7/20 10:03:00 20

Whenever I hear people's praise of Italy fur clothing, French fashion and American jeans, they can not help but look back at the fashion highlights of my motherland. But unfortunately, I saw a fashion desert.

You might say, we have cheongsam and Chinese tunic suits. But cheongsam is a product of Manchu, though it is also a branch of many ethnic groups in China, which is far from the Han culture. The Chinese tunic suit is entirely Mr. Sun Zhongshan's sole creation. At the very best, it is considered a fashion style, and it is rather thin to represent Chinese clothing.

Yes, we still have many traditional costumes of many ethnic groups, and even endless. But those costumes are going to the edge, and even the danger of totally submerged Korean clothes. Besides, what are the characteristics of our Han nationality's costumes? I am afraid this has been lost for hundreds of years, even for thousands of years.

However, for thousands of years, we are not naked, but what to wear and what I wear. What we have seen for hundreds of years is that we have not seen a great stable gene.

Today, young people and bosses are keen on Western brands. Unfortunately, a large number of counterfeit products come out, and some factories in South Africa even specialize in producing imitation clothing. From a small point of view, this is a businessman's pursuit of small profits. From a big point of view, the Chinese nation has lost self-confidence and lacks the ability to create world brands.

Perhaps it is not the ability, but the environment. In a commercial environment that is depressed and prone to fire at the gates and the fish in the pond, in a media environment without freedom of speech, the so-called independent innovation and the creation of China's world famous brand is merely a self deceiving and empty talk.

Any great brand needs a great cultural background to support it, and it needs irrigation with free thought. A great brand with fresh soul can not be cultivated without some money.

What can we say about China's fashion industry desert?
