Suspected H5N1 Subtype Of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza In Guangzhou

In September 15th, the Ministry of Agriculture issued a suspected highly pathogenic avian influenza in Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong.

In September 5th, the duck raised by farmers in Si Xian village, new town of Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, died, and 9830 dead ducks were killed on September 13.

In September 14th, the Guangdong provincial animal disease prevention and control center adopted the fluorescence quantitative PCR method to diagnose suspected H5N1 subtype avian influenza and sent it to the national reference laboratory for avian influenza.

At present, the national reference laboratory for avian influenza is being diagnosed.

The Ministry of agriculture and the people's Government of Guangdong province conscientiously do a good job in handling the epidemic situation according to the relevant emergency plans.

As of 14 days, the local veterinary department has killed 32630 destroyed ducks according to the "high pathogenic avian influenza epidemic disposal technical specification".
