The Shaanxi provincial quality and Technology Supervision Bureau conducted supervision and spot checks on the quality of tourist shoes in the first quarter of 2011.

According to the requirements of product quality supervision and spot check of CCGF 203.1 - 2010 touring shoes, the spot checks were conducted on 6 items, such as peel strength, bending resistance, wear resistance, peel strength of bottom wall and peel, the adhesion strength of outsole and outer midsole, and appearance quality.
The main problems of the quality of the tourist shoes are the adhesion strength of the outsole and the outer midsole, and the failure of the peel strength of the bottom.
The adhesive strength between the outsole and the outer midsole is poor. Consumers are prone to break off from the bottom to the outside. The footwear products with poor peel strength will affect the appearance and quality of the whole shoe during the use and storage. The above two unqualified ones will also cause physical risks and economic losses to consumers.
In view of the main quality problems found in spot checks, the Shaanxi provincial quality and Technical Supervision Bureau will instruct the municipalities.
