What causes the river to stink?

In late February of this year, the law enforcement officers left their minds to patrol the river along the river, and finally discovered a sewage outfall hidden in a mess of grass.

According to the law enforcement officers of the Taicang Environmental Protection Bureau, in recent years, Taicang has made remarkable achievements in environmental protection. However, the small enterprises with direct discharge of sewage still have no "root cutting". In recent inspections of 31 electroplating enterprises, 49 printing and dyeing enterprises, 137 chemical enterprises and 93 other enterprises, it was found that the operation of some enterprises' pollution control facilities was abnormal. Some of them were buried secretly and had the opportunity to steal straight rows. Some old enterprises did not clean up the dirty work, and the rain and sewage did not divide. Some small chemical enterprises were small in scale, scattered in point source, and old in sewage treatment facilities, and could not discharge steadily.

Renovation environment

Outstanding problems must never be soft. Under the strong support of the Taicang municipal government, the environmental protection department of Taicang has decided to investigate and deal with the typical environmental pollution problems with strong public and serious pollution, and implement relevant responsibilities to supervise and handle the pollution. In the sensitive areas, serious environmental pollution has been caused by the repeated complaints of the pollute, and the implementation of the major environmental risks has been stopped. The pollution control facilities are not in place, the governance capacity is obviously lagging behind, and the enterprises with frequent emission behavior and environmental impact will be dealt with for a definite time.

It is understood that at present, the relevant towns (districts) in Taicang are working out the work plan according to the territorial management requirements, focusing on the rectification and rectification, defining the targets, time limits and responsible persons.
