This is consistent with previous media reports that the central economic work conference has decided that GDP growth will be about 8% next year, and that the total level of consumer prices will be controlled at about 4%.


The national development and reform working conference was held in Beijing on 14 th.

Comrade Zhang Ping, director of the national development and Reform Commission, made a report entitled "insisting on accelerating the pformation of scientific development and striving to achieve a good start in 12th Five-Year".


The conference pointed out that China's 4 trillion investment in expanding domestic demand in 2008 was basically completed and achieved remarkable results.

The government plans to add 9 million new jobs next year, and the registered unemployment rate in urban areas is less than 4.6%. In 2011, the target rate of registered unemployment rate in cities and towns is not more than 4.6%.

Next year's economic growth target will be around 8%, and the total CPI level will increase by about 4%.


The NDRC expects CPI growth to exceed 3% in 2010, and GDP growth is expected to be no less than 10% this year.


At the meeting, Zhang Ping said that next year, we should strengthen the supervision and control of price regulation, put the overall level of stable prices in a more prominent position, support agriculture, especially grain and vegetable production, do a good job in linking up the production and marketing of important commodities and the regulation of reserve huff and puff to ensure market supply.

We should improve the plan for the market and price control of important agricultural and sideline products, and establish and improve the linkage mechanism of minimum living standard, unemployment insurance standards and price rise, so as to ensure the basic life of low-income groups.
