The market remained good, though the viral hepatitis of Rift Valley restricted the export of raw wool to China and the significant appreciation of Rand.


The Cape wool Merino index was only 1.6% weaker than its closing level in June, and it closed at 57.77 RAND / kg (net gross), while the South African rand exchange rate reached 7.22 Rand with an appreciation of 6%.

The exchange rate between Rand and the euro weakened by 1%, to 9.29 Rand.

The average price of high quality, high strength and MF5 (less than 1%) is as follows: 19 microns increased by 2.2%, reaching 67.97 Rand; 19.5 microns dropped 1%, reaching 63.43 RAND / kg; 20 micrometers dropped by 2.6%, reaching 60.21 RAND / kg; 20.5 microns dropped to 20.5, reaching the RT / kg, and the decline of the sink micron reached to the blue / kg.
