2010 China Textile And Garment Enterprises Social Responsibility Report Released
Recently, 2010 China Textile and garment enterprise social responsibility report joint conference and 2005 - 2010 China's textile and garment industry social responsibility construction 5th anniversary review held in Beijing.
8 textile and garment enterprises such as Changzhou Xu Rong knitting and dyeing Co., Ltd. and Dasheng garment factory (Huizhou) Co., Ltd. have disclosed the CSR information for the whole world.
The conference also released the annual report on social responsibility of China's textile and garment industry from 2009 to 2010.
Du Yuzhou, President of the China Textile Industry Association, stressed at the meeting that social responsibility management is the only way for textile and garment industry to achieve sustainable development according to the national strategic plan and the development requirements of the industry. It is also a basic method to promote enterprises to reduce costs and increase efficiency, improve product quality and enterprise competitiveness, and is an effective measure to promote the adjustment and revitalization of the textile industry and respond to the impact of the international financial crisis.
China is the largest textile and garment producer and exporter in the world, and textile and garment exports account for 32.71% of the world's total exports.
