Recently, two teachers from sericulture Research Institute of Soochow University made a special trip to Taicang, Jiangsu, and won the meticulous care of Taicang silkworm farmers.

The original species of colored cocoons is supplied by Su Da, and is a new variety of colored cocoons bred by gene recombination.

About 2 species and 50 thousand species of silkworms were fed, and the same mulberry leaf was used in the field. The same silkworm production technology and the same production conditions were used. But the cocoons produced were slightly smaller than those of the white cocoons that people used to harvest.

The Soviet Sericulture Institute has been working hard since 90s of last century.

In 2000, soda and Japan and Kampuchea jointly collected more than 100 original strains of colored cocoons in Kampuchea, and found a very uniform color variety. After that, the yellow cocoon silkworm variety was produced through gene recombination and 3 years' careful cultivation.

The silkworm variety raised by Taicang silkworm farmers this year is the result of the research and development of the natural cocoon of the silkworm.
