Wool Prices In New Zealand (10 May 6Th)

The auction was held in South and Kitajima this week. A total of 13158 bags of wool were listed. The gross price was strong and the turnover rate was 74%.

However, many herdsmen expect the gross price to rise later, so they withdraw their wool.

Since last week's auction, the new yuan has continued to strengthen, and the main trade currencies are weighted.

Medium fineness wool with limited supply increased by 2-3.5%, and fine crossbred wool increased by 1%.

The coarse wool with better quality remained firm and decreased by 2%.

Poor quality continued to rise, or 1.5%.

Rough cut is more popular, and its price is up 1-2%.

The price of lamb's wool is affected by the strength of Xinyuan and its price is down by 1-2%.

Zero price wool remains strong.

The main auction buyers were Australian carpet merchants, China, Middle East and India buyers, and buyers from Asia, the United Kingdom and Western Europe also gave some support.

The next auction will be held in Christchurch in May 13th, about 6600 bales of wool.
